For over eighteen years, I have done extensive research of history, centered primarily in eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. I have authored more than700 newspaper articles and ten books on regional history. I conduct tours, both walking and driving, throughout northeast Oklahoma sharing the history I love. It is such a blessing to get to share my passion with people who are also interested in preserving a rich heritage.
My books are available for sale and can be purchased by Paypal. See the Order Form page to place your order.

I have played several different women from Oklahoma history in tours, lectures and re-enactments. I have portrayed Congresswoman Alice Robertson, Kate Barnard, Oklahoma's first female elected official, Augusta Robertson Moore, an early-day missionary and teacher and Tookah Turner, Muskogee's "hostess with the mostess."
I am privileged to speak frequently to students in schools and in professional development sessions for teachers. I've also spoken to service sororities, civic clubs, churches, libraries, book clubs, leadership classes and tour bus groups. Some children call me "the hat lady" because of my interesting collection of hats I uses in student presentations.

Thank you so much for your presentation about women in the history of Oklahoma. It was fascinating and inspiring! Sometime we take for granted the contributions of women in the development of a community. Your talk reminds us we should be grateful for those who have gone before and set the standard for all to follow.
--Johni Wardwell, Soroptomists
Thank you so much for being our speaker at Keenagers. We enjoyed having you so much. You are a walking history book! I plan to take a walking tour with you soon. -- Clara Skinner, First Southern Baptist Church
